Will it last, and can it be fixed?

We look for materials and construction that age well, real warranties, and makers who sell replacements. Open stock matters: a plate you can replace one at a time is worth more than a set you cannot.

Is the price earned?

Every guide includes an honest entry point and, where it exists, a genuinely high-end option. We say when the cheaper thing is nearly as good, and when the expensive one is worth it anyway.

Will it get used?

We favor things that go in the dishwasher, the oven or the washing machine without fuss. A glass too precious for a Tuesday is a glass that stays in the cabinet.

Where should you buy it?

When Amazon sells an item from the maker or an authorized seller, we link there. When it does not, we link to the maker or an authorized dealer. We never link to gray market sellers.

What we do not do.

We do not claim to have tested something we have not. Our guides are built from maker specifications, warranty terms, long-term owner reports and the work of other reputable reviewers, and we cite our sources at the bottom of every guide. When we have handled a product ourselves, the guide will say so.

Prices move. The figures in our guides are ballparks at the time of writing; the retailer’s page is always the final word.
